You have decided to have a go at triathlon and have entered your first event.
Gulp!
You might be thinking "what have I let myself in for?" but don't worry as many of us have been there and remember that feeling all too well.
What we can say to you is that you will have an experience which will remain with you long after the event has finished. It does not matter where you finish on the day as long as you enjoy it!
Preparation
What sets triathlon apart from many other sports is
one word:
Preparation.
Do not underestimate the amount of time and effort required to prepare for an event. This is not meant to scare you but to ensure that you are aware of the importance of being organised before and during the big day.
The saying "Perfect Planning Prevents Pathetic Performance" applies to triathlon as with most things in life.
Careful preparation plus support and help from us at NTC will ensure that your first triathlon is not your last. It may be the start of your triathlon career.
