About NTC
Newcastle (Staffs) Tri Club was formed in 2006 by Julia and Ken Matheson.
The club is located in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire and has grown to around 200 members which includes both adults and children. But our goal is to be known as a friendly and welcoming club whetever your age and ambition.
We offer coaching across all three disciplines which is held in a safe and supportive environment. These sessions are tailored to your needs and include plenty of support and encouragment.
Whether you want to compete in triathlon alongside international athletes, are looking to enter your very first triathlon or prefer to focus on one discipline only then this is the club for you. Plus you will be part of a club which has a friendly attitude to everyone.

Julia Matheson Head Coach & Training Co-ordinator
Julia is an international marathon champion as well as being an elite duathlete. She has competed both nationally and internationally and has a string of victories to her name.
She is head coach at NTC and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to that role. Plus she is one of the nicest people you can meet!
Ken Matheson Club Chairman
Ken is club chairman and a former National British Cycling coach. He has many years of cycling experience which he actively shares with the club to ensure that everyone reaches their cycling potential.
